Lately, I’ve been feeling down again. It’s hard to say the words when you’re not there. Maybe you've been having doubts again. It's true, I've not had enough of you. From time to time, I’ve fallen out of line. You never took to it too kindly But don’t mind me Cause I’m wasted, I’m running over rooftops, Getting close to every single drop I see. She’s got a lonely heart, and she’s giving it up again. She’s got a lonely heart, she’s given it to a friend. She’s got a lonely heart, and she’s giving it up again. She’s got a lonely heart. Well I’m not running away, cause you’re still here. But what is there to say? And all those second chances I refused to take, I can’t explain. Can you tell me I’m okay? Ooooh. I thought I cracked your shadow play. You found someone and that’s okay. I’ve got a lonely heart. I’ve got a lonely heart. Well I’m not running away, cause you’re still here. But what is there to say? And all those second chances I refused to take, I can’t explain. Please you tell me I’m okay. Can you tell me I’m okay?

Ordinary Too 03:50
Do you remember Friday night? We spoke, I choked, and then you turned and ran away. Well you’re an arsonist, an activist And all those other things that I can’t list. But I like your ways. So please don’t let me down Cause we are running out of time. I’ll be yours if you’ll be mine. But all your words are dosed in second thought. You used to hang around But now you say you’re never free. This isn’t how it’s supposed to be. But no, I guess you don’t have to explain. But lately, You haven’t stayed up late And you don’t return my calls. Cause I’m trying to say the things I wanted to say days ago. But no, it won’t work like that anymore. It won’t work like that. So please don’t let me down Cause we are running out of time. I’ll be yours if you’ll be mine. But all your words are dosed in second thought. You used to hang around But now you say you’re never free. This isn’t how it’s supposed to be. But no, I guess you don’t have to explain. Well I know it’s not your style But if you tried once in a while You’d love the ordinary too. Cause I’m no Ghandi or Bruce Lee And I don’t get played on MTV, But I’ll be holding out for you. Two days in advance, oh well I caught you at a glance. And when I checked some recent photographs, I planned out our romance. And I said, “Hey girl is it me, or are you blind and cannot see?” (Please don't let me down.) And have I wasted conversation cause right now that’s how it seems. (Please don't let me down.) So please don’t let me down Cause we are running out of time. I’ll be yours if you’ll be mine. But all your words are dosed in second thought. You used to hang around But now you say you’re never free. This isn’t how it’s supposed to be. But no, I guess you don’t have to explain. Please don't let me down. Please don't let me down. (You used to hang around. We are running out of time.) Please don't let me down.

Would you listen if I said to you, It’ll be okay? Would you sing the songs that I sang too? And do the things I say? I’m running out of dreams. I’ve given everything that I had, it seems. But I can’t be forever, you see. Would you miss me if I wasn’t there? Would you fill my shoes? Will you mend the bridges I could not repair? Cause that’ll get me through. I started with you. I gave you everything that I had it’s true. Now promise me you’ll make it through. Where are you? I’m falling, I’ve fallen down. I’m falling, I’ve fallen down. I’m falling, I’ve fallen down. I’m falling, I’ve fallen down. I’m running out of dreams. I’ve given everything that I had it seems. But this won’t be the last of me.

about

the Fugues' debut EP looks at the raw emotions we tend to perceive as flaws, and the innate ability we all have to pass these off as momentary lapses from our normal state. It is the band's whistle-stop tour of our most vulnerable existence. A narrative of their own most personal experiences, and yet those most commonly shared.
The composition of the tracks retains the
infectious energy they are known for in their live shows. The narrative of the three-track piece,
however, is very reflective in nature. Filled with nostalgia and self-exploration, the indie quartet have focused on connecting at a personal level.

about

the Fugues Belfast, UK

the Fugues have built a reputation for sing along
indie anthems and intensely kinetic live shows.
The band don't shy away from vulnerability. While the onslaught of hooky riffs and sing-along
choruses take centre stage, their songs are filled with nostalgia and self-exploration; the Fugues'
true aim is to connect on a personal level.

“They have something really special!” - Olga Kaye
(QRadio).
